Terms

Last updated October 5, 2026.

What Purgepath does

Purgepath checks records you send against your California DROP deletion list and tells you which ones match a deletion request. It's a tool that helps you run your compliance process. It doesn't ensure compliance on its own.

Your responsibilities

You are solely responsible for your own compliance with California law, including the Delete Act and the DROP regulations. That includes acting on results, deleting matched records, notifying your service providers, and reporting status to CalPrivacy. Check results before relying on them.

Not legal advice

Nothing on this site, in our guides, or in our product is legal advice. Talk to your own counsel about your situation.

How you can use results

Results are for your own internal compliance use. You may not resell, sublicense or share the service, your DROP data, or results with anyone else.

Not affiliated with CalPrivacy

Purgepath is an independent company. It isn't affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the California Privacy Protection Agency (CalPrivacy). "DROP" refers to California's Delete Request and Opt-out Platform.
